"I Didn't Know Which Way To Go" Original Oil Painiting
At my recent exhibition, this was a crowd favourite, and I don't think you could blame them. On the outside, this is a gorgeous iris painting (of which the reference photo was actually taken in a cafe in Tasmania!), but on a deeper level it kind of represents my indecisiveness. I cannot make a decision to save my life, for example, I've dropped out of uni twice, did a tattoo apprenticeship and then dropped out, and so I sometimes wonder what life would be like if I stuck with it. But the reality is, I didn't, and I am here now. Despite this, I still think that at the end of the day I will succeed, even if this path might take a bit longer.
This piece was created with an insane amount of love (and a little stress if I'm honest) but my dad took a whole heap of stress off of my shoulders by creating the frame for this piece. It's a beautiful timber frame coated in a Malibu varnish that compliments the colours of the painting so well!
